Add a Facebook item to your homepage

You can add a Facebook Like Box to your homepage via an item of type "Custom HTML". You will need a Facebook Page in order to be able to add a Like Box. Here you can create a Facebook Page for your club/organization: https://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php

  1. First, go to https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/page-plugin
    Here you can customize your own Facebook Like Box. Fill in your Facebook web address at "Facebook Page URL". If you want to add the box to the right-hand side of your homepage, please fill in "168" at "Width". For "Height", enter a value like "300". You can choose the other options based on your personal wishes.
      
  2. Click "Get Code". At the top of the popup window, click "IFRAME". Then click somewhere in the code, and press Ctrl-C (Copy).
     
  3. Now go to the Admin part of your website and go to "Homepage layout".
     
  4. Click "Toevoegen Add item" at the column of your choice.
     
  5. At "Item type", choose "Custom HTML". You may fill in a title, but this is not mandatory.
     
  6. Click in the HTML text box and press Ctrl-V (Paste) to paste the copied code from Facebook.
     
  7. Click "Save" to save the item.
    If you want, you can change the position of the item by clicking the blue up/down arrows.
